Our dream of winning consecutive Team Championships, repeating our success of last year fell away in Saturday´s main race in Le Mans, France. our three trucks were supposed to start from the first three positions on the grid after a great result in qualifying but what followed was a penalty after the scrutineering officials measured the chassis on our trucks and decided that two of them were too low. This meant that Markus Bösiger and Markus Oestreich would have to start at the back of the field. Just three millimetres saw the end of a very good points result. This weekend the drivers were fighting for the points at the Spanish circuit in Albacete. In timed practice both drivers claimed a place in the top ten with their new race trucks. In „superpole“ Markus Boesiger and Markus Oestreich qualified third and fourth. This result ensured that they both started the first championship race on the second row of the grid. During the early part of the race the positions didn´t change and Markus Boesiger finally finished third. For the first five laps Markus Oestreich was following him in fourth until he suffered an unfortunate technical problem. The truck lost air pressure resulting in difficulties with the brakes and clutch. Despite this he was able to bring thetruck home in tenth position scoring one point for the team.
