The dream of filling the podium came true

Our three drivers filled the podium in Sunday´s championship race in front of the Czech spectators at our home race in Most. The seventh round of the European Truck Racing championship belonged to the colours of the MKR Technology team.
The big dream of the team came true Sunday´s main race but on Saturday night nobody was even thinking about such success. „Until 6am we worked mainly on Oese´s damaged truck and had to repair a broken rear axle. Finally we managed it but then only had an hours sleep but the drivers paid us back in todays championship race,“ said a tired but happy mechanic Jakub Čaněk.
The signs that the mechanics did a good job was evident in qualifying when our drivers, in the order of Bösiger, Oestreich and Lacko controlled the top of the time sheets. Our trio of Renaults didn´t give anybody a chance and they went on to finish the race In the same order. Adam did have a technical issue on the last lap which meant straight after the race mechanics had to work on the differential.
For the afternoon handicap race our Renaults started from sixth, seventh and eighth. After the battle on track our highest finisher was Markus Oestreich. Lacko finished sixth and Bösiger eighth. The winner was the Russian driver Lvov, behind him was Chris Levett and Uwe Nittel completed the podium. „Before the race in Most we promised the spectators that they would hear the Czech national anthem and that we would fill the podium as well. We wanted to give them exciting races. We fulfilled all of this and I believe that the fans enjoyed the weekend with us,“ added with satisfaction, Adam Lacko.
