Testing to be witnessed by the Championship’s only woman racer

3.11.2011

Testing to be witnessed by the Championship’s only woman racerAdam Lacko’s racing truck was disassembled literally into the last screw. In spite of that, this Friday the first test since the end of the season is going to take place. The Most track, where the test drives are going to take place, will be visited by the only female participant of the European Truck Racing Championship, Germany’s Stephanie Halm. We’re planning to try out not only some new technical modifications but also several candidates we might be working with in the next season.

Altogether, we have invited seven pilots to come to our testing session in Most, among them some household names from the truck racing world. There is the possibility of cooperation with some of them next season,“ the main reasons of the invitation were suggested by our manager Karel Neffe.

Apart from our own trio of pilots Adam Lacko, Markus Oestreich and Markus Bösiger, the Most racing track welcomes Ludovic Faure, France’s Anthony Janiec or the Czech driver Michal Matějovský.  We have also invited a special guest - the already mentioned Steffi Halm of Germany, who is the only representative of the fair sex among the hardcore truckers in the European Championship series. “All of them are going to test our Renaults and it doesn’t matter that Lacko’s is knocked down in the garage. After Le Mans the mechanics brought two cars back to life, so Oese’s and Bösiger’s are going to be on the spot,“ mentioned Neffe.
Almost the whole month after the last race our team of mechanics did not have the time to stop.“The crazy pace we’ve been living at throughout the whole season is finally over but there’s still a lot to do. First of all, we got the garage ready, we’re expanding it and at the same time fixing the damaged trucks,“ said the mechanic Rudolf Hořejší.
The team had their hands full mainly because of Adam Lacko’s truck, the pieces of which reminiscent of children’s building blocks, scattered all over the garage‘s floor. “We had to cut some parts of the cockpit and replace them. Fortunately, now the cockpit seems brand new but just a few days ago road metal from France was falling out of it. We’re still sweeping it off the chassis though,“ smiled the mechanic Daniel Kozlovský.
However, the team is going to make the most of Lacko’s truck’s condition. “Thanks to it being completely disassembled, we now have the opportunity to try out certain changes we’re going to test further afterwards, to be able to apply them to the other trucks, so we know what our plan for the winter is,“ said the mechanic Pavel Fofonka.
