Sensational victory for Adam Lacko

The Czech fans were exstatic! The MKR had an very good start to the seventh round of the European Truck Racing Championship in Most. In both races the Czech national anthem could be heard with the first one belonging to our driver Adam Lacko who won the first race after leading from start to finish.
„After being fastest in both free practice sessions on Friday and then again in qualifying this morning I really believed that I could win. Thanks to these results I believed in myself and didn´t want to disappoint our spectators. We promised that they would hear the Czech national anthem so I am very happy that we were able to keep this promise in the very first race“ said an enthusiastic Adam. The podium was completed by David Vršecký and Jochen Hahn. The points for sixth and seventh positions were taken by Markus Bösiger and Markus Oestreich respectively.
The afternoon handicap race was also succesful for us. After a great start from 8th position our Adam Lacko was immediateley fighting for positions at the front of the field. From second position he was attacking David Vršecký for the lead but on the wet track conditions were difficult and he finally lost second place to his team mate Markus Bösiger. The fight for the win was so close that the top 3 crossed line within half a second of each other in the order of Vršecký, Bösiger and Lacko Markus Oestreich didn´t finish the race after a hard colision with the spaniard Jose Bermejo in the first corner. Even though Lacko enjoyed his second podium ceremony of the day he was later penalised 12 seconds which dropped him to fourth position.
Even though the first day in Most wasn´t ideal for MKR the mood in the team is still war like. The great performances of the drivers saw the MKR Junior team visit the top step of the podium taking first place in the team competition and MKR Technology took the points for third position.
