Our teams can crush the rest of the world

27.6.2011

Our teams can crush the rest of the worldNot only that at the fourth stop of the European championship in the French town of Nogaro did our Renaults closely follow one another at the finishing line but they also collected valuable points for the team competition. Thanks to that we did not miss the winners‘ podium one single time and we could even enjoy the members of both our racing projects having a date up there. Simply, the opposing constructor teams had a lot to envy.

In all four French races Mario Kress and Karel Neffe were taking turns on the podium, representing the teams of MKR Technology and the junior project MKR Team 14 Juniors. After the very last lap they even shook each other’s hands when they occupied the highest spots together. “Obviously, our goal is to show to the world how we had built our Renaults. We definitely want to beat the rest of the world and I’m happy that we’ve been successful at that. We’re among the elite but we wish to be the very best ones. Another hope is for both our teams to reach the winners’ podium in the overall ranking,“ sets his goals high the team’s boss Mario Kress.

And he has every right to do so. In the first race in Nogaro our juniors including Adam Lacko and Anthony Janiec crossed the finishing line as third only to leave the spot to the more experienced duo of Markuses, Oestreich and Bösiger in the following drive. On Sunday the M&Ms landed on the second place and later on the top of the podium, the silver being taken by the youngsters from MKR Team Juniors.
The overall competition got a bit of a mix-up after the last classification. Absolute lead was taken by Cepsa-Truck Sport Lutz Bernau‘s MANs with Albacete and Nittel behind the wheel. Our Markuses come second and by a mere four points have skipped Buggyra’s Vršecký and Levett our junior pair Lacko-Janiec. “However, our goal has been set and does not change. We’re still aiming to defend the last year’s title and bring our youth to the podium as well. There’s still more than a half of the season to go, so we have time on our side,“ winked Mario.
