Hockey player came to relax the atmosphere for our pilots
16.5.2011
All three of our pilots headed to the Most track for a special testing session. The Swiss Bösiger, Oestreich from Germany and the Czech Lacko plus the entire team were fine-tuning their trucks for the second stop of the European Championship series in Misano, Italy.
“We focused on functionality of the cars above all else. The first start in Donington proved how incredibly even the front of the grid is. We don’t want to underestimate anything because even the smallest mistake could make a great diference. Otherwise it’s all pretty straightforward for us. What Oese showed in Donington is exactly what we want to do with the rest of our machines,“ smiled our boss, reminding us of Oestreich’s start-to-finish victories in both of the Donington races. “I must believe that we’re going to make it to all three spots on the podium,“ shares Mario his dream.
Moreover, the team got a mood boost from the hockey back and a fast car lover Angel Krstev, who spent the last season in the Russian KHL team of a rather distinctive name Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg. “These trucks are monsters which raise a feeling of respect in me and it’s hard to believe what the pilots are able to do with them. I was really surprised how perfectly the brakes are working. I would sometimes appreciate having a pair of these myself. To return the favour, I can share a few tips for the Russian stop of the series,“ said Krstev jokingly.
Good mood continued during the Sunday testing, when all three racers came to Most to go full throttle in their machines again. Each and every one of them is impatient and full of expectations for Misano. “The races in Misano are a true spectator-event and you get one of the best atmospheres there is in the series here. No wonder that we want to show what’s in us and win. Although there are two or three slower passages on the track, it’s surely going to be a fast race and I hope we’ll do even better than in Donington,“ says the current championship leader, our own Markus Oestreich.
