Hard fights in Nogaro brought us two fourth place finishes

Having been so close, twice we didn´t reach the podium during the first day of the fourth stop of the European Truck Racing Championship at the Nogaro circuit in France. Although it was clear from the start that current king of the circuits is Jochen Hahn, the difference between starting from pole is getting closer from race to race and the fights harder. Tough collisions are the result.

In a very close timed practice for the starting positions in the main race, tenths of seconds were decisive, Hahn continued his good form but the first eight drivers, including our three, were seperated by just one second. In the main race Hahn held his first position until the finish. Following Hahn was his fellow German Uwe Nittle with the reigning champion Antonio Albacete third,  whose position was closely fought by our young driver Adam Lacko who finally finished fourth. „It is great. The podium was very close again, I am satisfied because I have a truck that is competitive and one that enables me to fight for the top positions “ said a positive Adam Lacko. Markus‘ Oestreich and Bosiger claimed the points for the seventh and eighth positions respectively, this would see them both start from the front row of the grid in the second race of the day. We were not happy with the good  starting positions of our Markus‘ for long however. The opening lap of race two saw them lose ground after a collision at the start. Bosiger was able to maintain a good position at the front of the field after being overtaken by Vršecký, Albacete and Hahn, positions they would hold to the finish in that order. Adam Lacko held onto the fifth place he started the race in while Markus Oestreich, despite some technical problems, finished the race gaining valuable points in the team championship.
