He had to hurry from the press conference straight to the labour bed! It was not just another manic Monday for our pilot Adam Lacko. In the morning he joined his team to attend the press conference on the new European Truckracing Championship season, which starts this weekend in Misano, Italy, only to be present to the birth of his firstborn son a few hours later. Perhaps it was thanks to his driving skills that he managed to get to his wife Kateřina in time – but just like in a race, it was a matter of seconds. more

The new season of the European Truckracing Championship starts next week. Opening its fourth year of circuit racing, our team is going to attack the individual title. However, the much-desired triumph would not be the only peak of the season – we have joined powers with another ambitious truckracer Aleš Loprais. Although he comes from the Czech Republic, he has to drive quite a while to get to work. While most of his colleagues come directly from the north Bohemia where our technological centre is based, Jiří Kovář is a Moravian, born and bred. However, the hundreds of kilometres that divide him from his real home didn’t stop him from becoming a part of the truckracing world. more

We spend time working not only on our trucks. The winter gives us the chance to repair the whole facility, so that we’re completely ready for the new season. Look is not everything in the races, preparations must be done in the shortest possible time and the mechanics need to have their job a little easier. The traditional Athlete of the Year survey announced its winners. For the first time ever in the history of the survey achieved one of the athletes a golden hattrick. The prize has been awarded three times in a row to Jiří Motl, the national handball team member and core player of the HK.A.S.A. Město Lovosice first league team. This version should be the last one. A week after the European Truckracing Championship calendar was published, the first, and supposedly also last, change has been made. The date of the racing weekend at the German track of Nürburgring was postponed and the pending question of the Istanbul event has also been answered. It has been decided we wouldn’t be heading to Turkey this year, so the season will have exactly ten stops. more

The highest number of Czech pilots in the history of the European Truckracing Championship series competed in its past season. Although only three of them participated in all racing weekends, there was a moment when four Czech-born drivers stood on the starting grid. The most closely watched combat featured Adam Lacko and David Vršecký. The overall results made the bronze medalist Adam Vršecký an indisputed number one after he had replaced Buggyra’s David Vršecký on the position in the previous season already. The often discussed ratio of their duels clearly favours our pilot as opposed to his Roudnice-based competitor. more

Ten weekend events exactly have been planned for this year’s European Truckracing Championship. The last time we checked, that was what the racing calendar officially published by FIA said. Provided that no changes are made, there’ll be a reason to smile not only for us but also for our fans. Although there are quite a few innovations, the new champion will emerge in the middle of October in Le Mans. more

One must have a lot of courage to mess with this mechanic. Just looking at him, he has a guy’s respect. When Pavel Fofonka, nearly two metres tall, steps on the weight, the pointer shoots up to over one hundred kilos. Apart from that, the well-built mechanic is a former national rowing team member and a good-natured guy. more

All year long, they do a hell of a job. They spend days and nights smudged in oil, grease and carbon black, drag around Europe and live at work more than at home just because they signed up for a life in the truckracing world. But then again, they enjoy the toil and in addition to a regular paycheck, there’s an extra reward – the joy of victory. And that’s also why most of them are in knee-deep – they wish for success and taking their team of MKR Technology to the top. Yet all of that time they spent hidden behind the names of the team and its pilots. People don’t usually get to meet them, but without them, victory wouldn’t be possible. It looks like the Hummer, the US army’s famed armoured vehicle, yet it flaunts the typical Renault logo. And not just that – the whole car boasts MKR Technology’s colours. What the hell is THAT? These must be the thoughts of those who catch a glimpse of our boss’ new toy four-wheeler. Fully tuned, it could be seen in action at the Most Czech Truck Prix for the first time ever. The model’s official title is the Renault Sherpa and as a truly unique piece, you will hardly meet it on Czech roads. more

The fog was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. Similar this may be to the first line of a children’s nursery rhyme but the day began in the same way at our first winter test at the Most circuit on Thursday. The first test drives following the end of the season started literally from zero, not only as it was the first but also because the air temperature was reading at exactly freezing point. The amount of work scheduled for the mechanics meant that they didn’t have time to freeze and the initial results soon warmed them up. more

With the end of any racing season comes the time to look back and evaluate. The same holds for the recently concluded European Truck Racing Championship. The pilots were fighting hard for the highest ranks from May to October but eventually the first six places in the individual contest were occupied by the very same racers as last year. Although number plates on the racing specials remain the same, it doesn’t mean the season’s statistics would be dull and boring. The fact that the final standings were decided only in the last round speaks for itself. more

We’ve closed the past season of the European Truck Racing Championship with the Constructors’ trophy and a bronze in the individual ranking. Yet before the Championship began, we announced our plan to attack the individual title. Unfortunately, things didn’t quite work out, though we our share of success. Now the time has come for the team’s manager Mario Kress, a renowned constructor who won’t settle with nothing less than the win, to look back and say whether the past season was a good one. more

We got the opportunity to present our trucks directly at Renault Trucks, France, where we had been invited after having concluded this racing season with the Constructors’ Trophy. Local employees had a look at the adjusted racing specials from our Židovice workshop and in return our mechanics were given a chance to have a peek at the production in Bourg en Bresse. more

The best truck racers of the last season have finally been decorated. Compared with the last year, the standings have not changed much, and so the FIA representatives in the French town of Le Mans presented prizes to the very same six pilots we could see on the stage one year ago. However, one remarkable change did take place – and one which made our fans particularly happy. In addition to the silver medal defended by Adam Lacko, who has confirmed his position of the Czech truckracing number one, our team achieved the top position in the teams’ competition, the so called Constructors’ trophy. more

After a Saturday of mourning, the Sunday half has put smiles back on our faces. In the final day of the European Truck Racing Championship in Le Mans, France, we took control over the superpole and later on, despite some pretty heavy rain, over the main race as well, as Markus Bösiger dominated the field, followed by Adam Lacko. It almost looked like a fairytale happy-ending but the concluding handicap race was a battle of nerves. The whole weekend was closed by Adam Lacko’s third place. more

The first day af the final round of the European Truck Racing Championship at Le Mans, France saw German driver Jochen Hahn not only take the victory in the day‘s first race but with it the drivers championship title. For our team the happiness was missing, the day could‘ve been called Lacheze day after the French driver caused the retirement of two of our trucks – first Adam Lacko and then later Markus Bösiger. more

This weekend‘s round of the European Truck Racing Championship in Jarama, Spain started successfully and ended in a similar fashion, all of our bad luck seems to be gone. First to hit the podium today was Markus Bösiger and then later Adam Lacko, by the end of the day Bösi came very close to joining Adam and Oese in the top five of the championship standings. more

In the build up to Saturday’s racing at the penultimate round of the European Truck Racing Championship in Jarama, Spain two of our drivers were able to out qualify the home race favourite Antonio Albacete in super pole for championship race one. Unfortunately the sensation didn´t last after Antonio made a miraculous start that saw him reach second place at the first corner behind the leader, Jochen Hahn of Germany. Both of the leaders held their positions to the finish which meant for us it was third place thanks to Markus Oestreich. Our second trophy of the day came in the handicap race courtesy of Adam Lacko‘s second place finish. more

Two last stops are about to decide the ranking of this year’s European Truckracing Championship. No one of the current top five can be sure about their final position. Coming up is one of the most technically demanding circuits, Jarama in Spain. more

When we brought you the news of our successful weekend in Zolder, we didn’t know that it was in fact the best weekend of this season in terms of the points recorded in the ranking. As for the pilots, Adam Lacko improved his own season‘s record there and matched the one reached by Oese. more

The members of our whole team wish all the best to two our toastees this time! On Sunday, the boss himself, Mario Kress, celebrated his 42nd birthday, one and only one day later there was the 28th birthday of Adam Lacko. The best thing for each of us is the fact that this doublet gave a present on their own - the successfull weekend in Zolder. This stay has brought success for all our pilots, Adam won the very last race in addition. more

During the ninth round of the European Truck Racing Championship in Zolder, Belgium this dream came true for our Mario. The success we had on Saturday continued on Sunday and at the end of the day the Czech national anthem was played for Adam Lacko. more

Euphoria and happiness overwhelmed us again on the first day of round nine of the European Truck Racing Championship in Zolder, Belgium where all three of our drivers reached the podium. In the championship race Adam Lacko finished second and in the following handicap race both Markus´s achieved a one-two finish for MKR. more
